I think in terms of pictures and I have since I was twelve years old and picked up my first black and white camera. Although that was many years ago, I still think in terms of pictures and how I feel when the final image is captured to my camera’s sensor. Ansel Adams said it best: “if [a scene] excites me, then there’s a good chance it will make a good photograph.” I couldn’t agree more, and it’s the never-ending excitement in capturing a moment, a feeling, a photograph, that I’m after.

I am based in beautiful, northern California, living among Redwood trees, not far from the ocean. I use Nikon cameras and lenses. I am a member of the Professional Photographer’s Association and the National Association of Photoshop Professionals. Apple Aperture, Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop are my main software tools and all my work is done on a Mac. My passion is around photographing nature, scenics, architecture, and unique moments that define the human experience.
